Part I: SUMMER SOLSTICE AND JUNE FRUITS
Friday, 6/20/2008 $65
Join us on the eve of the longest day of the year with our friend and local cultivator of the best friggin' produce we know, Farmer Al from Frog Hollow (www.froghollow.com). This farm grows some of the sweetest, juiciest, tree-ripened peaches, cherries, apricots, nectarines, pears, asian pears, pluots, and plums you've ever tasted!! We'll start this Friday night off by tasting local oysters, savory snacks, and sipping champagne. Farmer Al will then talk to us about a day in the life of running one of our best local farms, as well as the importance of buying local and the benefits received from doing so.
After the presentation and appetizers, we will sample assorted fresh fruits from Frog Hollow and follow California Table recipes to make delicious fruit-filled pastries.
